Occurs in south-western Madagascar between Lac Ihotry (near Morombe) and Bereboka.

Habitat

Grandidier's baobab used to inhabit dry, deciduous forest, especially near seasonal rivers or lakes. However, today it is mainly found in open, agricultural land or degraded scrub.
