The winner of 2020's Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards has been announced.
A photo-bombing giraffe, a fish that smiles and even some socially distanced parakeets. They were just some of the hilarious finalists.
But the winner of the Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards 2020 is 'Terry the turtle flipping the bird' by Mark Fitzpatrick. Mark captured the image when he was swimming with turtles off Lady Elliot Island in Queensland, Australia. His image went against 7,000 incredible entries from all over the world but emerged as a clear favourite with the judges!
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards were founded by Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, both professional photographers and passionate conservationists. The competition is designed to showcase some of the funnier images of the natural world while highlighting wildlife conservation; the core driver behind this fun competition.
